Semester Project: Creating an Animation for Atitude’s Website

After my trainee time, I embarked on my semester exam project. I decided to continue collaborating with the same company where I had my trainee periode in, Atitude. My task was to create an animation video for their website. Before diving into the animation, I developed a storyboard, which I refined based on feedback from my colleagues at Artitude.

With the storyboard finalized, I started the animation process. I set up a simple backdrop scene to emphasize the product and minimize distractions for the viewer.

Since the video needed to be a maximum of 30 seconds, I selected the music piece "Forever as a Melody" by Assaf Ayalon. This instrumental track was perfect for maintaining focus on the product. After choosing the music, I imported it into 3D’s Max and synchronized the animation to the melody.

To streamline my animation process, I used dummies to move various 3D elements around. Once the animation matched the storyboard and the music, I created a test rendering to gather feedback.

Following the feedback, I made necessary adjustments to the animation and conducted tests on lighting and materials. When satisfied with the lighting, materials, and overall animation, it was time for the final rendering. Upon completion, I imported the various clips into a video editing program to compile the final video.
