Artitude - Acoustic wall panels

During my trainee, my main focus was the Attitude project, where I worked in the graphic department creating product and environment images. The goal was to present the products in their natural settings to enhance realism and appeal.

The Design Process
The product design was initially developed in Adobe Illustrator, where precise measurements were established. This allowed for an easy transition to 3D’s Max, where I could import the AI file and apply an extrude modifier to the model. To refine the details, I also used chamfer and smooth modifiers, giving the model softer edges and a more even mesh.

3D Modeling and Texturing
After modeling, the texturing process began. My goal was to create textures that could introduce a degree of randomness in the rotations, enhancing realism. I utilized various resources sites to find suitable textures.

Staging and Rendering
For each design variant, five different images in various environments were required. Here, I used both pre-made models and my own models to optimize time usage. After setting up lights and cameras, I rendered the images as EXR files using RenderStacks. These files were then imported into Photoshop for post-production.

Post-production
In Photoshop, the included masks in the EXR files allowed me to easily change product colors. This saved time as it was unnecessary to render new images for each color variation, enabling quicker delivery of more content for the website.

Conclusion
The Attitude project provided me with a deep understanding of the integration between graphic design and 3D modeling. It also offered valuable experience in an efficient workflow from design to finished product images, ready for use in marketing materials and on websites.
